The challenge: inflexible on-premises IT infrastructure
Alliad was dependent on an IT infrastructure that lacked the flexibility needed to deliver their services in emerging markets– from supporting humanitarian aid organisations through the construction of logistics hubs and warehouses to pooling resources to mobilise and support critical government projects.
They had minimal control over their on-premises infrastructure, which limited their autonomy in addressing critical issues such as hardware, latency, and challenges in upscaling the environment in locations like Africa and the Middle East.
They also needed more knowledge and skills to integrate essential platforms like Microsoft Azure into projects expeditiously. This made it difficult for Alliad to plug these technical gaps through the internal IT team.

The result: Africa case study
The transformative results of TDM Group’s business-focused service are underscored by the support they provided to Alliad’s work with a large humanitarian organisation. Alliad previously hosted Microsoft application servers in a data centre in Kuwait that supported vital food rations supply work. If that application was down, they couldn’t fulfil their contractual obligations, and the supply chain would suffer. Working with TDM Group, they achieved near 100% availability by seamlessly migrating these antiquated servers to Microsoft Azure. This has empowered them to deliver a better service to the large humanitarian organisation that’s scalable, provides full control of licences, delivers efficient access management, and reduces hosting costs.
